Just found this out today but Adsense is "retiring" their referral ads.
This means that if you have the adsense referral ads on your site that you should delete the code)s) for them because as of the end of August 2008, the referral ads will not display on your site(s).

They have also launched Google Affiliate Network(GAN).
This seems to be pretty exciting!!.
Well I don't know too much about the Google Affiliate Network that you mentioned.
I'll have to look into it more further.
