Click Through Rates & ECPM's

Here is a quick look at my Adsense numbers for today!

It is my intended goal to have at least a 10% click-through-rate.....

As you can see from the screenshot above my ctr rate is better than I expected!

As an average number I have seen postings from others saying that a 2% click-through-rate is what one should expect to get on the average.

Of course having a high ctr means that visitors to my site are clicking on the ads which means that either the ads are relative to the content on my sites and / or the ads that are appearing on my sites are appealing enough to get visitors to click on them. I also did some research on my sites to find what keywords that were related to my site were getting as far as web traffic was concerned. I made a customized list Of popular keyword & search terms for my own sites and you are seeing the results from the screen shot above. Basically what this involves is finding the most popular keyword search terms that people are typing into the search engines and putting those keywords in my site(s). I also do this kind of work for my clients as well but I also have done this for myself.

If you are having a low ctr rate with your blog it means that the visitors to your site are not clicking on the adsense ads that are appearing on your site. There could be a number of reasons for this. The google adsense ads that are appearing on your site may not be related to the content on your site and that is one reason that visitors to your site are not clicking on the ads. To solve this problem you have to use more popular keyword search terms that are related to the content of your site(s) and then watch as your click-thru rate(s) increase.

Another thing that you should take a look at are your ecpm rates as well. The ecpm rates mean the average cost per thousand clicks. It's a very complicated thing but to make it more simple, the higher your ecpm rates are that means the higher you earnings per click! As you can see from the screen shot above my ecpm rates are at least $50 or better!

So how do you get higher ecpm rates? The answer is that you have to put more high-paying keyword content into your site(s) so that you will earn more per click when visitors to your site(s) click on your Google Adsense Ads.

I have been using my own high-paying keyword list to put more higher-paying keyword content into my sites and you can see the results that I have gotten by looking at the screen shot above.

So if you want to earn more Google Adsense earnings per click then you will have to put more higher-paying keyword content into your site(s) so that you will be earning more per click.

Working To Bring Those Adsense Earnings Up!

If your Google Adsense earnings are down and you want to work to make your Google Adsense earnings go up then you have to identify your Adsense "problem areas!

Take a look at the screenshot below:

These are my Adsense numbers for today - so far!

Take a look at my adsense click-thru-rate. As an adsense publisher my goal for Adsense click thru rate is to have at least a 10% ctr on my adsense earnings. Now there have been times when my adsense click through rate has been higher and there have been times when my adsense click-thru-rate has been lower. But as you can see from the screenshot I am pretty much within my Adsense click thru rate goals.

How do you get a high adsense click thru rate? To get a high click through means that a good portion of the people that visit your adsense site are clicking on your adsense ads. That may be because the adsense ads that are appearing on your site are relative to the content on your site OR the adsense ads on your site are NOT relative to the content on your site BUT the adsense ads that are appearing on your site are interesting enough that they are being clicked on anyway.

Now take a look at the ecpm which means the estimate cost per click. That number means that the average price of the clicks are getting are in that number range. So this is another good example of how adsense publishers can incorporate higher-paying keywords into the content of their site so that they can earn more money per Adsense ad that gets clicked on their site.

If your Adsense earnings are down don't whine or complain about it.

Do something about it!

A Pleasant (And Profitable) Surprise!

I have been doing some experimenting with my high-paying keywords list and went to check my Adsense numbers today and got a very pleasant surprise!

Usually at around this time of the month I am trying to get at least to the half-way point - meaning earning at least $50 - so that I still have the rest of the month to earn the minimum $100 needed in order to get an Adsense payment the next month!

Well like I said I am doing some experimenting with my own high-paying keyword list just to keep myself updated on what the highest-paying keywords are. I have used some of these high-paying keywords on both my and my clients' blogs just to see if it was possible to earn even more than the average for this time of the month!

I checked my own numbers and I am definitely past the half way mark! In fact I have earned over the minimum amount needed to get an Adsense payment for next month - and I still have the rest of the month to go!

Well you know what this means don't you? I'm off to put more higher-paying keywords in my blog posts! Maybe I could even double my current earnings before the month is out and use that money for more Christmas presents!

I'm A Little Past The Halfway Mark For This Month - So Far!

As you can see, I have made it just past the halfway mark for this month! Since this is the 13th of the month that means that I still have the rest of the month to make the minimum $100 needed to get an Adsense payment for next month!

My basic numbers have gone down and I'm not too happy with my CTR but my CPM's are at least over $10!

And I'm pretty that I will at least make the $100 minimum needed to get an Adsense payment next month.

With the exception of the first 2 months that I belonged to Adsense, I have always made at least the $100 minimum needed to get an Adsense payment the next month and I am not going to break that record!

$1 (Or More) Per Click?

Yes it is possible to get $1 (or more) per click!

I was checking my adsense numbers today and saw that 2 clicks had generated over $3! Estimated that meant that those 2 clicks were worth at least $1.50 per click! The cpm was over $1000! - so that must be the reason why!

I'm $3 Away From The $100 Minimum Needed To Get An Adsense Payment Next Month.....

For the past few months I have been posting about how long it takes me to earn at least the $100 minimum amount needed to get an adsense payment for the next month. So far I'm about $3 away from that.

I'm going for an average of a 10% click-through rate and for the most part I am able to manage that. Sometimes its higher and sometimes its lower and sometimes it is right on the mark!

So far my average is a little low so far this month but you have to take into account that sometimes it is higher and sometimes it is lower so it averages out to be a little lower than 10% so far this month.

However since I'm only about $3 away from the $100 minimum I'm still doing pretty good because I still have the rest of the month - which is about 2 and a half weeks - to go!

I'll probably work more on adding more higher-paying keyword content to my sites to make the click-through rate cpm higher.

When I reach the $100 minimum, I'll post about it here.

One Click = Over $4 In Adsense Earnings!

Like I have said before you never know what kind of click rate you are going to generate when you have adsense on your site! I looked at my adsense numbers today and found out that I earned over $4 for just one click!

Over $3 Earned On Just One Click!

One of the pleasantly surprising things about belonging to Adsense is that you never know just how much you are going to earn per click! I pleasantly found out today that 1 click earned me over $3!

Usually me clicks earn me under $1 but every once in a while I am pleasantly surprised by just how much I (or anyone else that has adsense on their site) can earn with adsense.

Of course I have NO CLUE as to what words on my site generated such a high earning and that is one of the wonderful things about having adsense on one's site because you will never know how much just one click could earn you!

I usually post about how long it takes me to get to that $100 minimum for the month so that I'm assured an adsense payment for the next month but right now it's just too early in the month to start that - even though I'm off to a very good start!

I really would recommend that if you are thinking about adding adsense to your sites that you should seriously consider doing so! The one caveat that I want to mention is that your site should have a theme or subject matter in mind - as opposed to having just a "general" site!

You never know just how much you could possible earn with Adsense!

It Is Possible To Get $1 Per Click (and sometimes even more!)

I checked my adsense numbers today and was pleasantly surprised to find out that one of my sites generated more than $1 per click (Actually it generated over $2 per click!).

This has happened to me more than once and I'm sure that other adsense publishers have experienced the same thing.

The one thing that is hard is figuring out what word or term that adsense crawled for to get such a high-paying advertiser? Say for instance you saw that you were getting $1 or more per click and you would like to go to that site to see what content you had that generated such a high-paying click. It would be near-impossible to do because everytime you access your site the ads will change so you won't really know what high-paying ad that was so you wouldn't be able to tell what content generated that high-paying ad.

This is much different that targeting your site with high-paying keywords. When you do that you expect to see higher click rates anyway.

I'm working with a list of high-paying keywords just to see what kind of high-paying clicks they will generate.

Adsense Consultant - Is It Possible To Earn $1 Per Click?

Is it possible to earn $1 per click? I would say that it is most definitely possible! In fact I achieved this very thing today when I checked my adsense numbers earlier. Make no mistake - getting a rate that allows you to earn $1 per click is no easy thing to do.

You have to incorporate high-paying keyword content within your site!

What Does CPM Mean?

From Adsense's own site:

"From a publisher's perspective, the effective cost-per-thousand impressions (eCPM) is a useful way to compare revenue across different channels and advertising programs. It is calculated by dividing total earnings by the number of impressions in thousands. For example, if a publisher earned $180 from 45,000 impressions, the eCPM would equal $180/45, or $4.00. However, please keep in mind that eCPM is a reporting feature that does not represent the actual amount paid to a publisher."

Personally I use it as a way to judge what kind of rate I'm getting from advertisers - in other words - are my sites drawing high-paying advertisers
