"Payment In Progress" for December 2008?

Just in case you're curious, I kind of estimate that my "PIP" line will show up on December 24th BUT I won't actually get my adsense earnings until AFTER the Christmas holiday!

I base this on the fact that last year I got my "payment in progress" line on December 24th, went through agony for that and Christmas Day and then had the money to spend the day after Christmas!

However I do remember that when I first starting getting my Adsense earnings that I got my "PIP" line on something like the 21st of December but since then those payment dates are getting later and later!

You Are Scheduled To Be Sent A Payment..........

I posted about receiving this message before noting that everyone who is scheduled to receive an Adsense payment would also receive this message too.

What I particularly noticed about receiving this message this is that again I am receiving it on the 18th of the month. When I posted about this before I noted that when I got this message on the 18th, my "payment in progress" line showed up on the 23rd of the month!

According to my obsessive calculations I have already noted that on a comparable month, the "PIP" line would show up on the 26th of this month (September 2008) but I have also noticed that January 2007 has the same date format except that September 2008 has one less day! During January 2007, my "payment in progress" line showed up on January 23rd!

Personally my gut tells me that my "PIP" will show up sometime between the 24th and 26th (which happens to be on a Friday which means no actual Adsense money in hand until Monday at the very least!) of this month.

We'll see just how close my calculation will be!

"You Are Scheduled To Be Sent A Payment......"

For those that don't know it (or me for that matter) there is always this anticipated "wait" for the monthly adsense payment(s). I have already compared different months to compare with as far as the adsense "payment in progress" line showing up in one's adsense account. However there really seems to be no rhyme or reason as to how the "PIP" dates are actually determined!

I'm posting this blog entry because I was just checking my adsense stats just to see if the "payment in progress" line had appeard - it had not! But there was a box saying "You are scheduled to be sent a payment........"

Now I'm trying to remember whether or not I remember seeing this particular box all the time or does it just show up when I'm scheduled to get a payment. And since the line has shown up does that mean that the payment process has begun for April 2008?

I do remember last month upon seeing this box on my Adsense payment history that my "PIP" showed up a few days later.

So if that is the case for this month too then hopefully this means that at least the adsense payment process has begun!

Anyone Care To Make A Speculation About The Next Payment In Progress?

Obsessive compulsive that I am (plus the fact that I just love to get paid!) I decided to take a look at last year's calendar to find a month that had the same day format as this month (April 2008). Of course the reason I am doing this is because I want to compare "payment in progress" dates just to speculate on when the adsense payment will come this month!

May 2007 has the same day-format as April 2008.

In May 2007, my adsense payment was recorded on May 23rd! This also means that the "PIP" line showed up the day before - which - of course - was a Tuesday.

Dare I say that we may get the much anticipated "payment in progress" line next week?

"How Much Money Will I Be Able To Make With Adsense?"

I have seen THIS question pop up a lot on some of the online message boards that have to do with Adsense.

To answer this question in as few words as possible the answer is:

How much money you make from adsense will depend entirely on you!

People seem to think that just because they put adsense ads on their sites that the money will just start to "roll" in and that is not going to be the case for a mojority of us! Sure, some people have gotten lucky with their adsense earnings the first month but that is not going to happen to all of us. In fact I, myself made $22 my first month of using adsense and fortunately for me I have more than tripled that!

* - You can read about my quest towards making at least the $100 a month minimum needed to get an adsense payment the next month by clicking here

So far I have managed to get at least the minimum $100 earnings every month so far this year and every month of 2007 (which I can prove because I have had to pay income tax on my adsense earnings for 2007!
-

There is really no telling on how much one can actually make using adsense. The potential is there to make a lot of money with adsense but you can't really expect to just be able to put adsense ads on your site and just sit back and wait for the money to roll in!

Basically speaking you earn adsense money when visitors to your site click on the ads that appear on your site. So first of all that means that you have to get people to actually come to your site. And then you have to make it so that they will click on the ads. Now there have been a lot of people asking about how they can get people to click on the ads and there have been lots of theories and replies about how that can be done. I have my own theories and things that I do to help increase the number of "clicks" that I get on my own sites and so far it seems to be working quite well! (And fortunately for me my clients feel the same way too!

There are just too many variables that will determine how much money you will actually earn with adsense. What is the percentage of people that actually click on your ads? How much are you earning per click? Are you using higher-paying keywords to earn higher earnings per click? Is / Are your site(s) optimized for the search engines? In other words is your site top-ranked in the search engines when people are searching for information that is related to the content of your site? The higher your search engine rankings the more potential traffic you will get to your site and the more the potential of people clicking on the ads that appear on your site. The more that people click on the ads the more adsense money you will earn!

I'm Still Waiting On That Adsense Payment!

Well it looks like Adsense is being true to their form when they state that they can't give an exact date of the adsense payment(s).

Like I mentioned in a previous post, the month of December 2007 has the same date format as this month - March 2008. As I noted before there was a "payment in progress" line on my adsense account on Dec. 24th - of which it is now the 24th of March 2008 and there is still no "PIP" line appearing on my adsense account yet.

The general consensus is that the "payment in progress" line usually appears on the last Tuesday of the month - which is tomorrow....................

My PIP Has Arrived!

Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

You know I think I'm going to get some booze with this adsense check!

I feel like getting drunk!

There are also some things that I think that I should take notice of:

  • First every month I go through this adsense "waiting game" and I'm thinking that I should note the time that the "PIP" actually shows up on my adsense account.

For February 2008 it showed up at around 5:15pm EST

  • Secondly I think that it would be a good idea to note WHEN it shows up as compared to when other people post when theirs shows up. Like for instance this month someone posted that they got their "payment in progress" and they are located on the East Coast but the next post was from someone in the Southwest US and then came a posting from Florida that someone received their "PIP" - all the while I'm located on the East Coast and am wondering why mine doesn't show up before those who aren't on the East Coast.

But all-in-all I'm happy that it just showed up!

happy, happy, happy

The Agony Continues...........................

As I mentioned in a previous post, the "payment in progress" line has shown up on my adsense payment history.

The problem is that it showed up on a Friday. Today id Sunday. When I looked at my payment history today (actually it was yesterday - Saturday) the "PIP" line had turned into "payment issued" which means (I'm guessing here) that the adsense payment has been issued to my bank. However since that was on a Friday / Saturday then it won't appear in my account until Monday because Monday is the next business day and there are no people working in the bank during the weekend. (Except for maybe a cleaning staff (-:

And if you're wondering yes I did keep checking to see if by some chance that my adsense earnings were in my account.

Getting that adsense money feels so good!

So it looks like I will just have to wait until tommorrow! At least I can be grateful for the fact that there is no holiday Monday.

So until tommorrow, the agony continues...................................

Update - The adsense payment showed up in my account on Monday (and of course I have already spent some it (-;

Payment In Process!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh for joy! The "payment in process" line is showing on my adsense account!

As you can see the date noted is January 25th - today - which happens to be on a Friday! Normally this would mean that if I were using the EFT transfer then the adsense money / payment would not show up in my account until Monday. But there was an occassion when I got the "PIP" line in my account on a Thursday but didn't actually have the money in my account until Saturday which while I was grateful to get that adsense money - it seemed kind of weird to have the access on a Saturday.

Now that I know that the "payment in progress" line is showing in my account I will have to see how long it takes for my adsense earnings to actually appear in my bank account. I was hoping that since the "PIP" line appeared during the early afternoon that it might appear in my account today. But you never know!

Can I Get My Adsense Payment via Paypal?

In a word "No". Adsense pays by check and EFT only. In some areas they are just starting to issue payments via Western Union but that option isn't available in the United States.

There are also some other opinions as to why adsense doesn't pay via paypal

"Google owns Google Checkout, a competitor to PayPal, so I wouldn't really see a reason why they would want to offer PayPal payments.

I've emailed them about this already and they said no, they are not and will be not offer paypal payments.
"

There are also some good arguments about not using paypal to receive your adsense payment:

not a good idea to use paypal, they take a percentage on YOUR hard earned clicks. PLUS ive noticed it takes 3 days to transfer your paypal balance to your bank.

Payment In Progress Line Showing In Some Areas!

Adsense Payment In Progress

For December 2007

(for November 2007 earnings)

(PIP for short)

Has this appeared in your adsense account yet?

The December 2007 "payment in progress" (for November 2007 adsense earnings) line is showing in some of the adsense accounts. One of the places that the "PIP" line is showing is in India. Also the same line is showing in Portugal, the Philippines and Egypt! There are even some people in Canada that have posted that they got their "payment in progress" line! But so far its not showing in my own adsense account (I'm located in the US). As someone else has pointed out

This sucks!

Why Does The United States

have to wait so long

for their adsense payment!

It is also not showing in the UK.

Like I posted before there was a discussion of the adsense payments being early this month because it seemed like each December the payments came early (or as some people have said - late)

But let us keep our fingers crossed that we can get our adsense payment BEFORE Christmas!

Update - December 21, 2007 - As of 7pm EST, there is still no "PIP" line. Again I'm on the East Coast of the US and there is still no "payment in progress" line that appears in my adsense account.

Meanwhile there are about a dozen other countries that have received their PIP - and actually they have received it as early as the 19th which could mean that some of them actually already have access to their Adsense earning to a point where they can spend it during the Christmas holideay.

Unfortunately I can't say the same thing for myself (and the rest of the adsense publishers in the US)

Did You Get Your Adsense Payment For October 2007 Yet?

Everytime that I wonder about my adsense payment I go to the following discussion board:

Adsense Discussion Forum

Whenever someone receives their PIP (payment in progress) line on their adsense account they will post to this board so that others (like me) can compare the status of our own accounts.

So far it looks like the PIP line has shown for adsense publishers outside the US. Nobody in the US has gotten their adsense payment notification yet.

So the waiting continues..................................

October 2007 - Payment In Progress?

Well there it is! The infamous "Payment In Progress" line (or PIP for short)! Just in case you're wondering, I'm on the East Coast and the PIP line is dated yesterday!

You can also view the current discussion thread about the current "payment in progress" line for this month.

For some reason this just seems to be an odd occurence of that "payment in progress" line showing up on a Thursday. If you have opted for EFT then usually it only takes one business day for your adsense payment to show up in your bank account. But like I said - for some odd reason - it is not showing up today which is Friday which means that you would have to wait until at least Monday to see if your adsense payment will show in your account.

I've been looking at the boards to see if anyone else has discussed this but so far I haven't seen anyone else talking about it - I think its weird!

Update - Well I got my adsense payment (and spent some of it (-: already!)

It seems like those adsense payments are coming later and later!

What Are The Odds?

What are the odds of being able to get your adsense payment on the same date as a past month with a similar calendar?

Let me explain.

October 2007 has the same calendar day layout as January 2007. In January 2007 I got my adsense payment on the 23rd - so I was kind of hoping that the same thing would occur this month since the 2 months are exactly similar.

Well its October 24th and still no sign of that "payment in progress" line on my adsense account.

It just goes to show you that adsense's payment schedule has no rhyme or reason.

Can I Get My Adsense Payment Via Western Union?

It will depend on your location because Adsense is only providing this option to Argentina, Chile, China (Mainland), Colombia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Peru, the Philippines, and Romania.

Auction Ads - Why Is My Payment Taking So Long?

According to their website, auction ads say that they send out payments during the first of the month. It is now October 4th and I have yet to see any payment made to my account.

This is very frustrating and it reminds me of last month's wait for the adsense payment. In that case I wasn't the only persoon that was upset because the adsense payments were so late in coming!

However since this is my first auctionads payment I am very anxious to get receive my payment. I sent them an email asking about whether or not I would get a payment this month and they emailed me back later in the morning saying that I would receive a payment this month. So far I haven't received anything yet so I sent them another email yesterday but I still haven't heard back from them.

I'm very anxious to get my payment! However since this is a Thursday going on a Friday that means that if a payment is made to me on Friday then there is a 2 step process that has to be gone through which will take at least 2 business days! Now since Monday is Columbus Day I'll have to check and see if the banks will be operating on that day - if not then the process will take 3 days!

I don't understand why I am having so much problems with receiving my auctionads payment. I got an email saying that I would get a payment this month and since auctionads' site says that they issue payments on the first of the mont = then where is my payment?

*10/13/07 - I just got an email from them today saying that they are looking into the matter. When I find out more I will post here.

10/20/07 - Update! - I finally did receive my first Auction Ads payment! If I earn enough to get a payment next month I hope it doesn't take as long or be so complicated!

Still Waiting For My Auction Ads Payment!

I could be just a little over-anxious because this is my first Auction Ads payment ever. According to their blog they say that they issue payments on the first of the month for last month's earnings.

Here is an excerpt from their blog:

"AuctionAds Publishers, we were excited to get our first set of payments out to you today! Please note that we sent out your month one earnings via PayPal today from “Shoe Money Media Group”. Moving forward payments will be from our AuctionAds PayPal account but please look for the “Shoe Money Media Group” payment for today.

One question we’ve gotten from a few publishers is why they weren’t paid for the 31st of the month. Due to our net-0 terms and the time it takes to reconcile, earnings from the last day of the month go onto the next month.

We are excited about the growth in publisher earnings we saw in our first month of business! Please note that it can take time to ramp up earnings but our publishers who have given the program time have seen great results. We have many new features and announcements coming soon so stay tuned!
"

So I am still anxiously waiting for my first Auction Ads payment!
