Merry Christmas! I Got My PIP Today!

I got my "payment in progress" line today!

I was so surprised! I was agonizing over the fact that I might not get my "PIP" until after Christmas! But I checked my adsense account today and there it was!

It's going to be a very

Merry Christmas!

You Are Scheduled To Be Sent A Payment......

Saw this in my google adsense history folder today when I was checking my Adsense earnings.

This is a very good sign that the "payment in progress" pre-process has begun!

That means that Adsense has said that "I'm scheduled to be sent a payment" - which says to me that the pre-payment process has begun!

Dare I hope that I will be getting my "PIP" before Christmas? I certainly hope so!

It's a very tricky month as far as getting my Adsense payment is concerned! The 25th of the month falls on a Saturday and this 25th of the month just happens to be Christmas Day! A lot of certain businesses will be closed on the Friday before Christmas and this may even include some banks! However if I get my "payment in progress" by Thursday, the 23rd I'm going to do a little thing that Rose told me about so that I might just be able to spend my Adsense money before Christmas!

I can remember for at least the past 2 or three years where adsense has paid us before the Christmas holiday - so hopefully this year it will be the same!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed and I'll let you know if I get my "PIP" before Christmas.............

My PIP Has Arrived!

Well my "payment in progress" line has been received! Just took a look at it 3pm eastern time and there it was!

Now, unfortunately, this is a Friday so I won't be able to spend any of it until Monday at the earliest!

So now that my PIP has arrived for November 2010, your shouldn't be too far behind - if you haven't gotten it already!

There Has Been A "Payment In Progress" Sighting!

Yes that's right! Someone has posted that they got their "PIP" today!

The person that posted said that they were from the UK and they are receiving their Adsense payment by regular check.

I was debating on whether or not we would be getting our Adsense payments before Thanksgiving but now it doesn't really look like that is going to happen - although I haven't completely given up hope!

Even if we did get a "payment in progress" line that would still mean that the money wouldn't be "spendable" until the next day. However in this case the "next day" happens to be a holiday! But according to Rose though it seems that she has found a way to be able to spend her Adsense money a little bit early so if we did get a "PIP" showing in our account today she said that she would be able to spend it on Thanksgiving.

But it looks as though that is not going to be happening because even though there has been a "PIP" sighting, remember that it is from the UK and ususally in my case once I see that kind of first sighting my "payment in progress" line usually doesn't show up until a day later and, again in this case, that day later is a holiday!

So while I'm keeping my fingers crossed it looks as though I won't be seeing anything until Friday and even if that were to happen I wouldn't be able to spend the money until the Monday which is after the weekend which is like 4 (long) days away!

But I'm still keeping my fingers crossed - the day ain't over yet!

"You Are Scheduled To Be Sent A Payment".....................

Yesterday I signed off at around 6 pm so I didn't see the above titled message until I signed on today! Does this mean that Adsense added this message on a Saturday? a weekend?

Oh well it doesn't matter (for now). But what does matter is that with the receiving of this message then that means that the "payment in progress" pre-process has begun! Meaning that since I got the message of "you are scheduled....." then that means that at least I am on the schedule to be sent a payment this month?

What are the odds of us getting out Adsense payments before Thanksgiving, since the 25th of the month actually is Thanksgiving day? I took a look at some past "PIP"s and I really don't see a trend of getting the Adsense payment before Thanksgiving - mostly because Thanksgiving doesn't fall on the same week during the past years.

Now I'm really hoping that we do see our "payment in progress" lines before Thanksgiving.......but we shall see!

The Adsense Site Will Be Down For Maintenance Today!

According to their website:

On 11/13/10, our engineers will be performing site maintenance from approximately 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM PST.

While this will mean that you will not be able to see your Adsense numbers or be able to access your Adsense account you will still be earning your Adsense money as usual.

Payment In Progress!

Yep! That's right! I got my "PIP" finally!

Actually to tell you the truth I took a "day off" yesterday and didn't see my "payment in progress" until today!  I think that this is a first time in a looong time that I haven't obsessed about getting my "PIP"!

My "payment in progress" line showed up yesterday and the money is now in my bank account today!  (I checked!)

So this means that if you are an Adsense publisher and you are scheduled to get a payment then you should be getting yours soon!

There Has Been A "Payment In Progress" Sighting!

There has been a "payment in progress" sighting today!

I was checking one of the adsense-related boards and noted that there were a couple of people who have posted that they have received their "PIP"'s. One of the people that posted was from Europe and another that posted that they got their "payment in progress" line didn't post a location so I'm not sure if anyone else from the United States got their "PIP" yet.

You might have also noticed that the little widget on the side of this blog is showing minus days....I think that I am just going to leave it that way until I actually get my "payment in progress" line. Because the "days left" widget is basically based on the fact that the average "payment in progress" date is usually around the 25th of the month and here we are - the 26th of the month and still nothing is showing - at least for me - yet!

Monday, October 25, 2010

Sorry, but there is no "payment in progress" sightings yet!

I'm sorry to report that I haven't seen any "PIP" in the adsense-related boards yet!

It has been posted that the average / usual time that we might see a "payment in progress" line would be the 25th of the month - which is today!

But then again on the other hand people have also posted that they will usually see their "PIP" lines on the last Tuesday of the month - which will be tomorrow.

So I'm really guessing that our "payment in progress" lines will show up sometime tomorrow.

When I start to see other adsense publishers posting that they got their "PIP" then I know that mine (and yours) can't be too far behind.

"You Are Scheduled To Be Sent A Payment"......

I saw this on my adsense account today.

Of course this means that the payment in progress process has begun!

I don't actually mean that the "PIP" is showing up yet for October 2010! I'm just saying that once I see the above message on my Adsense Account I know that at least they are acknowledging that I am supposed to be getting a payment and that lets me know that the payment in progress process has at least begun.

Since the 25th falls on a Monday, I'm just assuming that I will see a "PIP" either next Monday or Tuesday.

The Adsense Site Will Be Down For Maintenance

On Saturday, October 16, 2010 (which is tomorrow!) the adsense site will be down for maintenance. According to their site their engineers will be performing site maintenance from approximately 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM PDT.

This is a regular occurrance - especially on a Saturday and according to their site, the adsense people have said that even though their site will be down for maintenance it will NOT affect your Adsense earnings!

For as long as I have been an Adsense publisher they have remained true to their word! - so far!

If you are new to Adsense and you sign on to your account tomorrow and see that you can't get to your adsense account just remember that the site will be down for about 4 hours. I know that can make you crazy but you just have to be patient because the site will be back up eventually!

I Received My PIP Today! Hooray!

After agonizing over the weekend I finally received my "payment in progress" line for September 2010!

This was a VERY long wait!

Now that I have received my "PIP" for September 2010 I can't wait to start spending that money! I have a quite a few hours before I can actually spend the money and that is going to be an agonizing wait!

Friday, September 24, 2010

No PIP today!!!!!!!!!

I was sooooo hoping that my "payment in progress" line would show up today but alas it has not! Even though its a Friday if I received my "PIP" I would have been able to spend that money tomorrow! Oh I am sooooo disappointed!

This weekend is going to be agony!

Update!

Well it looks as though I spoke too soon! Someone has posted that they have received their "payment in progress" line today. The person that posted is from the US and they get their adsense payment via check!

So it looks as though the "PIP" process has begun for September 2010!

Thursday, September 23, 2010

I did a little research

Being a little disappointed that my "payment in progress" line didn't show up today I decided to do a little "back" research and try to find a similiar month with the same date layout which was July of 2009. During that month I did not receive my "PIP" line until Friday, July 24th!

Since Adsense is notorious for not paying on the same date each month I can only hope that this time it will be the same and that my "PIP" will show up tomorrow - though I'm still hoping that it will show up today! I seem to remember one time when my "payment in progress" line showed up at around 9pm my time (EST) but it happened so long ago that now I'm not even sure that it really happened????

"You Are Scheduled To Be Sent A Payment".....

I was checking my adsense account today and saw this familiar message about "you are scheduled to be sent a payment......". This could have been on my account earlier and I just didn't pay attention to it - to tell you the truth I was really looking for the payment in progress line to appear but so far it hasn't yet! I'm so sad!

Well the general consensus is that the average date of the "PIP" showing up is usually on the 25th of the month but unfortunately the 25th of September falls on a Saturday this month and the "PIP"'s don't (usually) show up on the weekends!

I also checked on one of the Adsense-related boards and no one has posted that they have received their payment in progress lines as of yet.

The Adsense Site Will Be Down For Maintenance....

On Saturday, September 11th, the Adsense site will be down for maintenance from approximately 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM PDT.

I Got My "Payment In Progress" Line Today!

Oh for joy! I got my "PIP" line on my Adsense account today! That means that I will be able to have some money to spend! I'm jumping with joy and glee!

Tuesday, August 24, 2010

There Has Been A "Payment In Progress" Sighting!

This is good news!

However it all does seem a bit odd because the people that have been posting that they have gotten their "PIP" are also posting that they get their adsense payments by check!

So far one person from the US has posted receiving their "payment in progress" and their have also been postings from the UK and India - but the majority of them have posted that they get their adsense payments by check.

I have posted many times about how Adsense has said that they don't process the check payments first but it does kind of look that way doesn't it?

Monday, July 26, 2010

There Has Been A "Payment In Progress" Sighting!

Although I have to say that I'm quite disappointed that the sighting isn't from my own Adsense account!

However someone in the UK posted that they received their "PIP" for this month. They received their "payment in progress" line today and they also posted that they receive their google adsense in regular check form.

Well at least we know that the "PIP" process has started - but it is coming very late this month!

Actually I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that it will show up later today! I remember one time when my "payment in progress" line showed up around 9pm my time and if it happened then then hopefully it will happen now!

So I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Friday, July 23, 2010

"You Are Scheduled To Be Sent A Payment......"

Actually I'm a little disappointed today! Even though this message showing up on my Adsense means that at least I'll be getting an Adsense payment this month I am disappointed that there is no "Payment In Progress" line showing up yet which means that it looks as though I won't be seeing a "PIP" until at least Monday - bummer!

"Do You Do Adsense Work?"

I got this in my email today and here is my reply:

Do I do Adsense work? The answer is yes. However it will depend on the type of adsense work you are looking for. Adsense publishers are posting about a decrease in their adsense earnings and a lot of them think that it has to do with the new way that Adsense is basing their ads. The adsense ads are more based on interest than on the content of one's adsense site.

So let me know what kind of adsense work you are talking about?

Adsense has changed a lot. I have been taking a survey of some my sites with adsense ads on them and I have noticed that the ads are based on the site that I came from and not necessarily on the content of the site that I am visiting.

That really changes things as far as adsense earnings go and a lot of adsense publishers are posting that their adsense numbers are way down.

Of course this doesn't seem to apply to all of the adsense publishers because some have posted that their adsense earning numbers are the same or have even increased!

Well It Looks Like We Have A "Payment In Progress" Sighting!

So I'm browsing the boards and forums just to see if there is any news about "PIP" sightings and lo and behold I see that some one has posted that they have received their "payment in progress" already!

It seems that those outside of the United States have posted that they have received their payment in progress lines on their adsense accounts for June 2010.

So far only a few of them have posted but at least this shows that the payment in progress process has begun.

Tuesday, May 25, 2010

My PIP Has Arrived!

Before checking my Adsense account I went to look at some of the Adsense-related boards and found that there were more postings about "payment in progress". This is always a good sign because the more that people post from the US that they have received their "PIP", the more likely that my "payment in progress" line is not too far behind!

So I noticed that there were a few more postings about the "PIP" and then I read them and noticed that a few people from the US had posted, I kept my fingers crossed, went to my Adsense account and lo and behold I saw it!

Payment In Progress!

Hopefully if you are also an Adsense publisher you will be getting your PIP soon - as well!

There Has Been A "Payment In Progress" Sighting!

I was looking at one of the Adsense-related boards and found that someone had posted that they got their "payment in progress" line today.

The person posted that they are from the UK and they get their adsense payment by check.

There have been rumors going around that Adsense pays those who get their adsense payments by check - Adsense pays them first - But Adsense themself has said that this is not true.

So at least someone has posted that they have gotten their "PIP" for this month - May 2010.

So at least that means that us that live in the States and get our Adsense payments by bank transfer - hopefully that means that our Adsense payments are not too far behind!

"You Are Scheduled To Be Sent A Payment......"

Well this little message showed up in my Adsense account today and it means that I will be getting an Adsense payment this month. I should really, really be grateful for this because so many publishers are experiencing such a low click-through rate lately!

So now that I know that I am scheduled to be sent a payment - all that is left to do is to wait for the payment - LOL!

Adsense payments usually are received by the 25th of the month which is Tuesday of next week!

So I am keeping my fingers crossed!

Low Click Through Rates Being Attributed To Interest-Based Ads!

I don't seem to be the only Adsense Publisher that is experiencing a low click-through-rate with their Google Adsense sites! I have been browsing some adsense-related boards and there have been many people posting about experiencing the same thing as well.

The low CTR seems to be attributed to Adsense providing interest-based ads. What this means is that - for example - if someone has just visited a site about flowers and then visits your site which is about cars, then the ads that they see will be about flowers and NOT what your site is about which is cars. In other words the google adsense ads that will be appearing on your car-related site will be more about flowers than about cars! Of course this will seriously decrease the number of potential clicks that your site may get.

You would think that interest-based ads would provide more in potential clicks because the ads are being based on the interest of the site visitor but it doesn't seem to be working out that way - at least not for the Adsense publishers who's postings I have seen - including mine!

There also doesn't seem to be a way to opt out of interest-based ads for the ads that are appearing on one's site.

There has also been talk of "ad blindness" meaning that visitors to Google Adsense ad sites are becoming more and more "blind" to the adsense ads that are appearing - meaning that they are not clicking on the ads.

I'm sure that there has got to be some kind of solution to this! I just haven't found out what it is yet - LOL!

Saturday, May 8, 2010 - The Adsense Site Will Be Down For Maintenance

Upon checking my adsense numbers today I saw that there was a message that the adsense site will be down for maintenance this upcoming Saturday, May 8, 2010. Here is the message as it appears:

"On 5/8/10, our engineers will be performing site maintenance from approximately 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM PDT."

Since I am on the East Coast that means (and I'm estimating here) that from 1pm - 5pm (my time) the Adsense site will be down.

Adsense assures its publishers that the site being down for maintenance will not affect their (our) adsense earnings and so far they have been right because I have not seen anything adverse happen as far as my adsense earnings go when the adsense site is down for maintenance.

So if you're adsense-addicted like me you're just going to have to find a way to get through those hours. I find that as the months go by I am getting better at this!

My Payment In Progress Has Been Received!

My "payment in progress" line has been received today!

That is good news because the wait over the weekend was agonizing!

It has been rumored that Adsense very rarely posts the "PIP" line on Mondays but I'm glad that it has been posted for today!

So I now have the "payment in progress" line on my Adsense account and hopefully I will be able to spend some of that Adsense $$$$$$ tomorrow! - Yay!

Friday, April 23, 2010

There Has Been A "Payment In Progress" Sighting!

Someone has posted that they have received their "PIP"! The person that posted is from the UK and they receive their Adsense payments by check!

Usually I don't see my "payment in progress" line until other people from the States start posting that they have already received theirs.

But this does give the rest of us hope that our "PIP's" will be showing up soon!

Thursday, April 22, 2010

You Are Scheduled To Be Sent A Payment.....

This finally appeared on my Adsense account today!

I was getting kind of worried because today is the 22nd of the month and I know that the later I get the "You are scheduled to be sent a payment....." line, the later I will get my "payment in progress" line.

Since I'm just seeing this message today, I'm assuming that I won't be seeing a PIP line until AFTER the weekend - I'm sad to say!

But at least I know now that the "payment in progress" process has begun!

Tuesday, April 20, 2010

"You Are Scheduled To Be Sent A Payment" - NOT!

Well I was checking my adsense numbers for today and I noticed that I didn't see the "you are scheduled to be sent a payment" line yet today! This kind of makes me worried and sad because the later I see the above line on my adsense account then that means the later I will see the "payment in progress line.

I was wondering what the "odds" would be of actually getting the "PIP" line before the start of the weekend - but now it's not looking all that good!

Thursday, April 8, 2010

The Adsense Site Will Be Down For Maintenance On Satuday April 10th, 2010!

Here is a quote from the Adsense site:

On 4/10/10, our engineers will be performing site maintenance from approximately 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM PDT

While this means that you won't be able to view your adsense earnings during the maintenance times, Adsense assures us that your Adsense earnings will be calculated as normal.

Friday, March 26, 2010

My Adsense Payment Has Arrived!

Well I'm happy to say that my "payment in progress" line was received! Actually I got the "PIP" line yesterday afternoon but the money became spendable today!

So now we can begin the waiting process (yet again) for April 2010!

Thursday, March 25, 2010

Looks Like The Adsense "Payment In Progress" Is Going To Be Taking A While!

I have been browsing the Adsense-related sites now and I still haven't yet seen any postings relating to anyone getting a "PIP" in their Adsense accounts yet!

There was one post from someone who was also checking around to see if anyone else received their "payment in progress" line on their Adsense account - but so far no one has reported seeing it yet.

I'm remaining hopeful though because the day is not over yet and the Adsense "clocks" are three hours behind my own local time so it's still possible that my "PIP" line will show up for this month - March 2010!

Wednesday, February 24, 2010

My PIP Has Arrived!

I got my "payment in progress" line today! Time for me to do a "happy" dance!

It looks as though us Adsense publishers here on the East Coast who get our Adsense payment by EFT may be able to get and spend our Adsense money as soon as tommorrow BUT here on the East Coast we are expecting yet another snowstorm! The last time I checked the news said that we wouldn't be getting snow until Thursday going into Friday but now the weather forecast says that snow is expected later on tonight! Yikes! One of the great things about being able to work from home is that I don't have to go outside unless I want to! But when I get my Adsense payment out in the snow I will go!

Tuesday, February 23, 2010

There Has Been A Payment In Progress Sighting For February 2010!

there has been a "payment in progress" sighting for this month! Someone has posted that they got their "PIP" line today, February 23rd. However this person posted that they are from the UK and they get their google Adsense payment by check. But at least this shows that the other "payment in progress" lines will be showing up for the rest of us Adsense publishers!

There is also a little debate going on about how February is of course the shortest month and whether or not we will get our Adsense payments BEFRE the end of this month!

Friday, February 19, 2010

You Are Scheduled To Be Sent A Payment..........

Yes this message appeared on my Adsense account screen today when I was checking my Adsense numbers for today! Getting this message means that the payment in progress process has started - even though we Adsense publishers haven't seen the "payment in progress" line appear yet in our adsense accounts. I think its a tad early for that - LOL! - no matter how badly we want it!

Also remember too that the Adsense site will be down for maintenance for 4 hours on Saturday, February 20, 2010 - this is probably going to mean that 4 at least 4 hours from the late morning until the late afternoon that your adsense site will be down. The exact time will depend on where you are located.

You will still continue to earn your adsense money and your adsense earnings will still be calculated and added to your account while the maintenance is going on.

If you are an Adsense junkie like me then you will just have to grin and bear it and get through those several hours.................

Thursday, February 18, 2010

The Adsense Site Will Be Down For Maintenance Today!

As you can see from the screenshot above the Adsense site will be down for maintenance this upcoming Saturday for about a good 4 hours!

You will not be able to check your Google Adsense numbers during this time but Adsense assures its publishers that their adsense earnings will be calculated as normal.

As a side note you can see from my Google Adsense earnings today that I'm quite past the minimum amount needed to get an Adsense payment next month so I will be getting an Adsense payment next month! Now I'm just waiting for my Google Adsense payment this month -LOL!

Tuesday, January 26, 2010

The Payment In Progress Process Has Begun!

It seems as though my "gut" feeling was right! People are reporting that they have been getting their "payment in progress" line today. Google Adsense publishers are reporting that they now see the "PIP" line on their Adsense accounts.

So that means that my "payment in progress" line for January 2010 can't be too far behind!

Monday, January 25, 2010

Just In Case You're Wondering........

I checked around the boards and message forums and no as of yet has posted or reported that they have gotten their "payment in progress" line on their Google Adsense account yet!

This is very sad news since this is the 25th of the month but the last Tuesday of the month - which is the date that most people say is the "PIP" date - is tomorrow!

My gut just tells me that the "payment in progress" line is going to show up tomorrow

until then we just have to wait...................

How Old Do You Have To Be In Order To Join The Adsense Program?

I answered this question on Yahoo and I thought that I would post it here in case anyone else would like to know the answer to this. I can't take credit for it though because I got the answer from another website.

Does AdSense have a minimum age requirement for participation?
As stated in the AdSense Terms and Conditions, publishers must be at least 18 years of age to participate in the AdSense program.
If you are not yet 18, you may have a parent or guardian submit an application using their name as the payee name. Please note that, should the application be approved, all payments will be made to the adult responsible for the site.

The Adsense Site Will Be Down For Maintenance Today!

Click Through Rates & ECPM's

Here is a quick look at my Adsense numbers for today!

It is my intended goal to have at least a 10% click-through-rate.....

As you can see from the screenshot above my ctr rate is better than I expected!

As an average number I have seen postings from others saying that a 2% click-through-rate is what one should expect to get on the average.

Of course having a high ctr means that visitors to my site are clicking on the ads which means that either the ads are relative to the content on my sites and / or the ads that are appearing on my sites are appealing enough to get visitors to click on them. I also did some research on my sites to find what keywords that were related to my site were getting as far as web traffic was concerned. I made a customized list Of popular keyword & search terms for my own sites and you are seeing the results from the screen shot above. Basically what this involves is finding the most popular keyword search terms that people are typing into the search engines and putting those keywords in my site(s). I also do this kind of work for my clients as well but I also have done this for myself.

If you are having a low ctr rate with your blog it means that the visitors to your site are not clicking on the adsense ads that are appearing on your site. There could be a number of reasons for this. The google adsense ads that are appearing on your site may not be related to the content on your site and that is one reason that visitors to your site are not clicking on the ads. To solve this problem you have to use more popular keyword search terms that are related to the content of your site(s) and then watch as your click-thru rate(s) increase.

Another thing that you should take a look at are your ecpm rates as well. The ecpm rates mean the average cost per thousand clicks. It's a very complicated thing but to make it more simple, the higher your ecpm rates are that means the higher you earnings per click! As you can see from the screen shot above my ecpm rates are at least $50 or better!

So how do you get higher ecpm rates? The answer is that you have to put more high-paying keyword content into your site(s) so that you will earn more per click when visitors to your site(s) click on your Google Adsense Ads.

I have been using my own high-paying keyword list to put more higher-paying keyword content into my sites and you can see the results that I have gotten by looking at the screen shot above.

So if you want to earn more Google Adsense earnings per click then you will have to put more higher-paying keyword content into your site(s) so that you will be earning more per click.
