Payment Received And Some Of It Already Spent!

Just wanted to let everyone know that my adsense payment was received and I have already spent a good portion of it!

In fact, I was having so much fun spending money that I just didn't have the time to post about actually receiving the payment.

As a matter of curiousity, my "PIP" was received on a Friday which meant that I didn't actually get the payment until the next business day which was Monday!

According to my calculations, the "payment in progress" line for Novemeber 2008 is estimated to be on November 27th!

Payment in Progress!

Well, there it is! A "payment in progress" line on my adsense account!

Of course on the "sad" side since the "PIP" line just showed today, that means that I won't actually have it until Monday at the least! It's gonna be a long wait!

There Has Been A "Payment In Progress" Sighting!!

Unfortunately (for us in the US) that may mean a longer waiting time before our own "PIP" will show up!

Even though I posted in a past post that the estimated time for the "payment in progress" line to show up would be around the 27th of this month (based on a month with a similar date layout) there's still hope that the "PIP" line may show up for us in the US tomorrow - I base that on the fact that there is already a "payment in progress" sighting.

If it does show up tomorrow then unfortunately that means that the earliest that I would be actually able to spend the money would be Monday! - 3 days away!

I Made It Past The $100 Mark!

Actually I reached the $100 mark a few days ago but I was just too tired to post!

A lot of people have been posting about how disappointed they are with their adsense numbers and I have to admit that my own numbers are low as compared to what they usually are! So I'm going to work on adding more high-paying keyword content to my blogs.

One Of The Most Frequently Asked Questions Seems To Be.......

Why do I have clicks but no earnings?

The most basic answer to this is that if you are getting clicks but no earnings then that means that Adsense is counting those clicks as invalid!

Another, more remote, possibility is that the ads that have been clicked are public service ads of which you don't get paid for.

One of the main reasons why public service ads may be appearing on your site is that the adsense spiders can't find any content on your site that would appeal to advertisers.

Being Able To Track Your Adsense Ads On Your Blogger.com Blog.......

If you are using Blogger.com's newest layout / format then you should know that you have the option of letting Blogger.com place the adsense ads in your blog (first you have to give them permission to do so).

I did this with one of my newer blogs, Different Blog Layouts, because since that blog is about different blog layouts I constantly have to change / tweak the additional gadgets / widgets that appear on that blog - so I opted for letting adsense add the ads.

However I wondered how I would be able to track the ads since there was no customized channel name given to the blog. I found the solution (so far) and that is to give the site its own tracking channel by adding the url of the site / blog! You can do this by "adding a new url" when you go to the channels portion of your adsense account set up!

Once your blog starts to get visitors (and clicks) then it will show up on your adsense reports!

I'm A Little Past The Halfway Mark For This Month - So Far!

Was looking at my adsense numbers today and noticed that I am just a little bit past the half-way mark towards earning at least the $100 minimum needed to get an adsense payment next month!

I have noticed that there have been a lot of people posting about their adsense numbers going way down! I, too have noticed it on my own adsense numbers but if I got to the half-way mark already then that is a GOOD sign!

How Do I Paste The Adsense Ads On My Blog?

This could get kind of complicated because first we don't know if you
are using Blogger's newest layout or their old one.

If you're using their newest layout then you can let Blogger.com add
the adsense ads (after you give them permission to do so) for you at
either the bottom of your blog posts or by adding a new gadget /
widget on the side of your blog.

However if you are using Blogger's older version then it gets a little
more complicated in that first you have to decide where you want to
place the ads. After you decide then it's a matter of copying and
pasting your adsense ads in the RIGHT place on your blog's template.

A Little Experiment!

Besides being an Adsense Consultant I am also a SEO Consultant as well and I have been noticing for the past 3 days that this blog has been ranked #1 when the term adsense consultant is typed into Google's search engine.

I'm getting an inkling as to how this is being made possible - but I can't say for sure yet.

Like with all great SEO techniques it requires some experimentation to see if I am right about this!

What Are PSA's?

PSA's stand for public service announcements - and they are ads for things like donating to charity, helping disaster victims and so on. You don't get paid for these kinds of ads and like the other poster said they usually appear when the adsense "spiders" can't find any content on your site that is attractive to advertisers.

Adsense Account Disabled, They Appealed and They WON!

Although there are many instances when there have been people who have had their adsense account banned or disabled, there are (fortunately) examples of those who have appealed their account and WON!

Read this thread to find out about one such adsense publisher who was able to get their adsense account re-instated!

September 2008! - Payment In Progress!

The first place that I always go and check first to find out about the latest "PIP" is Webmasterworld Google Adsense Message Board! I took a look at it today as soon as I got online and there were already 8 more posts about the latest "payment in progress" line showing up. So excited that I was I decided to check my own Adsense numbers to see if the "PIP" line showed up in my own Adsense account and there it was!

Judging by the forum thread it looks as though places outside the US had gotten their "payment in progress" lines first - in places like Malaysia and India. But there are also posts from those in the US who have gotten their "payment in progress" lines too.

Are You Earning More Or Less This Year With Adsense?

There is an interesting discussion going on in the Webmasters Google Adsense Forum asking whether or not people are earning more or less this year than last year with their Google Adsense money.

I thought it was an interesting question and I decided to check my own Adsense Earnings for the past 2 years!

It turns out that I am making more this year than I was last year with adsense - I would say about 40% more!

I chalk this up to being able to learn more about the Adsense program and continually working on my sites that have the adsense ads on them. Also too, as time goes by my sites start to build up traffic and more traffic means more potential clicks! I'm also working on putting more higher-paying keyword content into my sites.

So all in all I am earning more money this year with Adsense than I was last year!

Help! Trying To Add Adsense Ads To My Blog Posts?

What kind of "editing" are you trying to do to your template?

If you are using Blogger.com's newest layout / add page elements then adding the adsense ads between your blog posts is relatively simple to do.

However if you are still working with Blogger.com's older layout where you have to add the adsense coding yourself then it becomes a little bit more complicated. - however it can be done.

Here is a link to a blog (Rose's blog) that still uses Blogger.com's older layout where you have to copy and paste the adsense code in yourself - whether it be for the blog posts or for the side of your blog.

Oh and I should mention that if you want to add adsense ads to your blog posts using Blogger.com's older layout, then you should know that you don't get the option to place the ads at incremental blog posts - you can only have the option to post the ads under EVERY post!

http://grantbasics101.blogspot.com/

is an example of a blog that has added the adsense ads under each blog post using Blogger.com's older layout.

You Are Scheduled To Be Sent A Payment..........

I posted about receiving this message before noting that everyone who is scheduled to receive an Adsense payment would also receive this message too.

What I particularly noticed about receiving this message this is that again I am receiving it on the 18th of the month. When I posted about this before I noted that when I got this message on the 18th, my "payment in progress" line showed up on the 23rd of the month!

According to my obsessive calculations I have already noted that on a comparable month, the "PIP" line would show up on the 26th of this month (September 2008) but I have also noticed that January 2007 has the same date format except that September 2008 has one less day! During January 2007, my "payment in progress" line showed up on January 23rd!

Personally my gut tells me that my "PIP" will show up sometime between the 24th and 26th (which happens to be on a Friday which means no actual Adsense money in hand until Monday at the very least!) of this month.

We'll see just how close my calculation will be!

I'm At The Halfway MarK........

I checked my Adsense numbers today and see that I am a little bit past the halfway mark of earning at least the $100 minimum needed to get an Adsense payment next month!

The good news is that it is only the 8th of the month and that means that I have the rest of the month to go to make at least the minimum $100 needed to get an adsense payment next month - and I'm already halfway there!

There seems to be a trend of people earning a lot less Adsense money than they used to and I can definitely see some lower numbers in my own Adsense numbers but I'm highly encouraged by the fact that those numbers can go up at any time!

You never know what keyword will trigger a higher-paying advertiser! Although there are high-paying keywords lists available here and all over the Internet, don't forget that your content can generate a high-paying keyword all by itself!

I made it! - September 11, 2008!

9/11/08 Update - I'm now just under $4 away from earning the $100 minimum needed to get an adsense payment next month.

9/10/09 Update! - Upon checking my numbers today I see that now I am about $14 away from reaching the $100 minimum!

"Payment In Progress" for September 2008?

Just in case you're curious, I did some checking to see which month had the same layout as September 2008 and I came up with October 2007.

During October 2007, I got my "PIP" line on the 25th of that month. So that is what I'm estimating for this month of September 2008 - which is the 25th of the month!

I'm Going Through The Arduous Task Of Removing My Adsense Referral Ads!

If you don't know it by now, Adsense is getting rid of their referral ads. You can read more about that by clicking here.

I kept the referral ads on until the last minute but since this is the last week of August 2008, I'm starting to remove them because any adsense referral ads will now just be seen as a blank space!

I have a lot of blogs to go through - including those of my clients - until I get to them all!

There Has Been A Payment In Progress Sighting For August 2008!

As of now 2 people have posted about getting their "PIP" line on their adsense account. So far both of these people receive their adsense payment by check.

Unfortunately we don't know where these people are located so we can't track the payment process progress.

But the good news is that a "payment in progress" has been reported so it won't be long before we all get it!

What is Smartpricing?

Let's say that two sites run the same ad. The site where the ad is generating less clicks can be subjected to smartpricing. That means that the advertiser pays less on the site with the lesser performing ad than they would on the other site which is generating more clicks.

$1 (Or More) Per Click?

Yes it is possible to get $1 (or more) per click!

I was checking my adsense numbers today and saw that 2 clicks had generated over $3! Estimated that meant that those 2 clicks were worth at least $1.50 per click! The cpm was over $1000! - so that must be the reason why!

I Made It To The $100 Minimum!

As of this afternoon I made it just passed the minimum $100 amount needed to be able to get an adsense payment for next month!

Since this is still August 12th, I still have the rest of the month to go to earn more adsense money!
